The Indians won 22-games in a row back in 2017. You might have heard about it.
The streak allowed them to surpass the 2002 Oakland Athletics for the longest winning streak in American League history and tying the 1880 Chicago White Stockings and the 1935 Chicago Cubs for the second-longest winning streak in Major League Baseball history. Neat stuff.
Topps did cards for #14-17 and #19-#22. The #20th win got a relic card and the 22nd got a Jay Bruce autograph parallel. You would think the 21st win–the win that actually got the Indians the record–would have rated something. But no. Rest assured that if it was the Yankees they would not have overlooked that.
There are two bonus cards in the set. #22WS was from the Opening Day team set, while #PWB02 was from the Player Weekend set. I ended up having to buy the latter since…I cannot stand the players weekend cards.
So here you go. The highlight of the 2017 Cleveland Indians baseball season.
