Ethan DeCaster was drafted in the 18th round by the Detroit Tigers in 2018 out of Duke.
- In 2018 he played at four levels–from Rookie League to Advanced High A-ball. And with good reason: over 32 innings of relief work he only allowed 19 hits and struck out 39–good for a 0.84 ERA/0.78 WHIP.
- This season he has played at three levels–from Advanced High A-ball to AAA. Over 66 innings he has only allowed 57 hits while striking out 66–good for a 2.86 ERA/1.061 WHIP.
He is about a legit bullpen prospect as you are going to find. I am sure he will see the majors sooner rather than later.
