This 2001 Donruss Elite Victor Martinez rookie is one of the three or so Cleveland cards that Beckett ranked in its 2005 “All-Time Hot List” cards. And it’s the only one of the Cleveland cards that’s worth anything. What bugs me? This card wasn’t cheap, and I didn’t notice the unsightly ding in the top left corner. These cards–the corners especially–and very condition sensitive, so this happens.

The 2001 Donruss Elite set was 200 cards, but the back 50 were all rookies, and each rookie was limited to 1000 copies. There are some good cards in here, with rookies cards of Victor Martinez, Ichiro Suzuki, and Albert Pujols.
