Chris Paddack an 8th round pick of the Marlins in 2015 out of a Texas high school. He came over in July 2016 as part of the Fernando Rodney trade.
He lost his 2017 season to Tommy John surgery but needed no time to get back up to speed in 2018. He split the season between High-A and AA and ended up going 7-3 with a 2.10 ERA over 90 innings. He only allowed 60 hits while striking out 120. Those are…insane numbers.
Coming into the 2019 season he will be one of the Padres Top 10 prospects and could very well see some time in the majors by the end of the season.
I was able to snag this autograph in person during his very brief stay in the Midwest League back in 2016 before he was injured.
