Andrew McCutchen, at his peak, was a great player. From 2010-2015 he had a 146 OPS+ and averaged 23 HR and 22 SB per season. He was selected to five All-Star teams and won a single Silver Slugger and four Gold Gloves. McCutchen slowed down quite a bit in the years that followed, with a 111 OPS+ from 2016-2023. This past season he had a 99 OPS+, the lowest of his career. The Phillies bought out his contract for 2023, making him a free agent this winter. There is a good chance this might be the end of a very good career.
