From the Collection: Barry Zito, sp, Oakland Athletics

I was very happy to get this Barry Zito autograph in 2015, his final season in baseball.

Zito is on my shortlist of all time favorite pitchers, mostly for his time as one of the Oakland “Big Three” that included Tim Hudson and Mark Mulder. While in Oakland, Zito was one of the best pitchers in baseball: over seven seasons (2000-2006) he went 102-63, averaging 157 K’s a season, good for a 125 ERA+. During that time he was selected to three All-Star teams and was the 2002 AL Cy Young winner.
