I got this autograph as part of a bulk consignment deal back in 2014.
Dylan Cease was drafted out of a Georgia High School by the Cubs in the 6th round of the 2008 draft. He was a bit of a lottery pick due to injury concerns, but it paid off and he became on the Chicago’s best pitching prospects–ranking #4 in the organization by 2016.
He was included in the Eloy Jimenez trade of 2017 and sent to the White Sox where he immediately ranked as one of their Top 10 prospects.
Cease has a very impressive 2018 campaign split between High-A and AA. He would end up going 12-2 with a 2.40 ERA/1.065 WHIP over 124 innings, only allowing 82 hits while striking out 160.
He is easily one of the best pitching prospects in the game and should play a major role during the White Sox next contention window.
