I got this autograph a couple years ago when Oakland was visiting Cleveland, one of the few Oakland players who signed.

  • Lowrie drafted in the 1st round of the 2005 draft by the Red Sox. He was 45th overall.
  • He moved quickly through the system and made his major league debut in 2008.
  • Over 11 seasons he has been a very solid infielder with the Red Sox, Houston, and Oakland. He has a career line of .264/.335/.417. Good for roughly 16 WAR and an OPS+ of 106.
  • Of his 11 seasons, four times he has had OPS+ of more than 119.
  • He is on track to have the best season of his career in 2018 with Oakland; he is hitting .290/.362/.501 with 16 HR, good for an OPS+ of 139 and 3.5 WAR.
  • He was selected to the 2018 All-Star team, his first.
