Starting pitcher Juan Hillman was drafted by the Indians in the 2nd round of the 2015 draft. He was rated one of the Indians top 15 prospects in both 2016 and 2017, but he he struggled at Low-A in both 2017 and 2018 and fell off the prospect map.
This season, Hillman is pitching in AA Akron and is having a very nice age-24 season. Over 75.2 innings he has allowed 73 hits, striking out 60 and walking 24. I think its only matter of time he gets pushed up to AAA, and if he can continue to be effective its very easy to see him getting called up to the majors for a spot start or two in 2022.
