Justin Verlander is when it comes to autographs, an unpleasant person. But gosh, he sure is a good pitcher.
Since making the majors in 2015, Verlander has had nothing short of a Hall of Fame career. He was the 2006 American League Rookie of the Year, a two-time Cy Young award winner, and in 2011 completed the pitching triple crown on his way to the American League MVP award. Verlander has two 20-win seasons under his belt, eight All-Star selections, and won the World Series in 2017 with the Astros. This season, at age 39, he is 9-3 with a 2.22 ERA/171 ERA+, so there is every chance he might add some more hardware to his resume before the season is over.
