From the Collection: Kyle Parker, of, Colorado Rockies
…
Kyle Parker was drafted by the Rockies with the 26th overall pick of the 2010 draft. While he was a top-tier college baseball player, he was also a fantastic college quarterback. He was the first D1 player ever to hit 20 HR and throw 20 touchdown passes in the same season, as well as the first ACC athlete to play on a Division champion in football and baseball in the same year.
…
He made his professional debut in 2011, and from 2011-2015 he was rated one of the Rockies top prospects, with plus-power being his loudest tool.
…
He made the majors in 2014 but struggled against big-league pitching. He would spend parts of both 2014 and 2015 in the majors, but was never able to stick. He retired following the 2016 season.
