From the Collection: Tommy Hunter, p, Philadelphia Phillies

Feels like Tommy Hunter has been around forever.

He was the Rangers 1st round pick back in 2007. He made the majors within a year, and despite a rough rookie season put together a couple of nice seasons in the Texas rotation. But eventually he transitioned to a pen arm, and since 2014 has been a dependable relief pitcher for a half-dozen organizations.

Since 2014 he has averaged 47 IP and has a 3.33 ERA/1.153 WHIP/125 ERA+.

He was with the Indians for all of 21 innings back in 2016, which is when I got this autograph. He has…a very nice autograph.

This season he is with the Phillies, but has been out with a flexor strain. He just recently got back into action and looks to be pitching well.
