Tony Wolters was a very well thought of prospect moving up through the Indians system. From 2010-2014 he ranked as one of the Indian’s top prospects–as high as #8 in 2010.
He as kind of a cool prospect since he could handle playing catcher or any middle infield position, which is kind of rare. Unfortunately for Wolters, both infield and catcher were deep positions in the Indians organization and he was never able to find a path to the majors. The Indians would lose him to the Rockies via waivers in 2016.
He made the majors in 2016 with Colorado and while he has not really hit a ton he has been uniquely versatile with the glove, filling a utility role at catcher, second, and third.
The highlight of his career, so far, came in 2018 when he hit a go-ahead single in the 13th inning of the 2018 NL Wild Card Game.
