Anderson Tejada was the Rangers #27 prospect coming to this season. His stock slipped a little after a rough season in 2017 at low-A, but it looks like he is back on track.
This season in High-A he is hitting .255/.324/.435 with 130 K’s and 43 walks in 432 at-bats. Those numbers are not too far off from his 2017 numbers. The difference is the power–he has 17 HR on the season, more than double his previous career highs. The strikeouts a still an issue, but the development of power is a welcomed addition to his game.
He is not perfect, but you have to be excited about a middle infielder with this kind of power.
