Andres Gimenez is one of the New York Mets top prospects coming into the 2018 season. Both BA and BP also tagged in the back end of their Top 100 lists, so he is a very well thought of young player.
Last season he hit .265/.346/.349 with 4 HR in low-A–very solid numbers considering he was 18 and playing in the states for the first time. While he does not have a ton of power, his bat and speed fit the profile of a top of the order hitter. He also has plus defense. And considering he is only 19, there is plenty of time for the power to fill out.
This season he is in high-A and hitting .261/.336/.405 with 5 HR. The numbers are very similar to 2017, though he is showing a little more power, which is nice.
Overall a very exciting prospect.
