I had my eye on this card for a while and was able to snag it for roughly $5. Considering how tough he is to get, I think think it was a pretty good deal. The 2011 Heritage is actually one of my least favorite heritage sets to get signed, but I think this card popped really nice.
It’s crazy that Asdrubal Cabrera has been in the big leagues for 13 seasons. Even weirder he is still a pretty good player.
- Cabrera was an All-Star with Cleveland in both 2011 and 2012.
- He was traded away during the 2014 rebuild. The Tribe netted Zach Walters for him. Meh.
- Since the trade, he has been a solid major league hitter. Nothing crazy, but generally carried an OPS+ a shade above league average.
- This last season between Texas and Washinton he hit .259/.341/.441 with 18 HR. That is his fourth-highest season HR total, so that is fun.
