I started digging on Bobby Bradley in 2014.
Bradley was a 3rd round pick out of a Mississippi high school back in 2014. He was assigned to the Arizona League and went on to hit .361/.426/.652 with 8 HR. Those were some of the best numbers of player in the league, and considering he was only 18, the future seemed bright.
Bradley is limited to playing first base, and he will never hit for a high average. His entire game is built around his power. But he has plenty of it. Coupled with his good strike zone disciple he has a chance to be a regular at the major league level.
This season he spent the majority of the season at AA and hit .214/.304/.477 with 24 HR. Great power numbers, though he still has a problem with contact. Its worth noting that his numbers in the second half of the season were noticeably better than the first half.
His strikeouts and lack of contact are a concern, and his stock has dropped over the past couple of seasons. But the power is real, and he is young, so I am optimistic that he will pan out.
