C.J. Kayfus @ckayfus was drafted by Cleveland in the 3rd round of the 2023 draft out of the University of Miami. This season he was assigned to High-A Lake County, and is having a fantastic campaign, hitting .331 with a .998 OPS. He is showing pop (6 HR) but also has a good eye at the plate (20 BB to 28 K). Cleveland is not known for developing top-tier position players, but Kayfus represents a wave of players in the organization’s low minors that might very well change that reputation. I can’t think he is long for Akron, and it would not surprise me to see him start next season in Columbus. I was thrilled to add him to my collection this past month. I am happy that I was able to add his autograph to my collection this month, so now I can sit back and enjoy him being a menace to MiLB pitchers.
