UC Irvine [ @ucibsb ] visited Hawaii this past week. It was an exciting series, and while the Rainbow Warriors ended up being swept by the #20 team in the country, they put up a good fight every game.
At the heart of UCI’s success is a buzzsaw of a lineup, spearheaded by Caden Kendle [ @theamericanbosshog ]. Over the three-game series, he went 8-14 with three RBI, and on the season is hitting .452 with two HR and an insane .538 OBP. Last season, he was drafted by the Cardinals in the 10th round; the way he’s performing this season, I imagine that position will improve for the 2024 draft. He is on the shortlist of the best offensive players we will have come rolling through Hawaii this season, so I am thrilled to add him to my collection.
