The Card: 2004 Topps Heritage
Keith Foulke had a great career in the majors, but I will also love him for his time, be it brief, with Oakland.
In December 2002 the White Sox traded Foulke to the Athletics, who immediately plugged him into their closer role for the 2003 campaign. Foulke would go on to have a fantastic season with Oakland, appearing in 72 games and would go 9-1 with a league league-leading 43 saves. He ended the season with a 2.08 ERA/215 ERA+, some of the best stats of his career.
The Athletics would lose him to free agency that winter. He would go on to pitch well for Boston and, in 2004, win a World Series.
