- Ryan Lillie was drafted out of UC Riverside in the 5th round of 2017 draft.
- He started off his college career as a catcher but transitioned to pitching. So his arm does not have as many miles on it as some.
- He had a very solid 2018 pitching between for the Marlins Low and High-A teams. On the season he went 6-7 over 117.2 innings, allowing only 106 hits while striking out 110 and only walking 24. Good for a 3.44 ERA/1.105 WHIP.
- This October he was traded to the Reds for bonus pool money.
Lillie is 23 this season but is still a couple years away from the majors. Still, he is an interesting prospect who projects to be a mid-rotation starter or very solid pen arm.
