From the Field: Sean Reynolds, 1b, Miami Marlins

Sean Reynolds was drafted by the Marlins in the 4th round of 2016 draft out of high school.
This season he hit .193/.306/.441 in low-A, which is not really all that great.
The strikeouts are a problem. in 270 at-bats he struck out 133 times. Though he did have 42 walks, so he does some discipline.
What worth noting is the power. He hit 17 HR this season and is easily the best power hitting in the organization.
He will only be 21 in 2019, but you have to think this is an important year. He needs to make better contact…or at least strikeout less.
But with his power, you don’t want to cut bait too fast.
