Former Arizona Diamondbacks’ top prospect outfielder Sócrates Brito is an interesting player. This past season with the Korea’s Kia Tigers, he posted an impressive .310/.359/.516 line, hitting 26 home runs—his third consecutive strong season with the club. His bat has caught the attention of major league teams, and there is a chance he will come back to the States in 2025.

From 2012 to 2018, Brito was a top prospect in the Diamondbacks’ pipeline, ranking as high as #4 in their system during the 2016 and 2017 seasons. While he spent parts of four seasons in the majors with both Arizona and Toronto, Brito struggled to establish himself as a regular at the big league level. In 2022 he left the States for Korea, signed with Kia, and has been mashing ever since.
