I do not normally do high school games here in Hawaii. But over the last couple seasons, Hawaii has been the home of quite a few very good prospects. Last season it was SS Aiva Arquette (St. Louis 2022), OF Beau Sylvester (Kamehameha-Kapalama 2022), and INF Wehiwa Aloy (Bladwin 2022). Luckily, I was able to snag all three at the 2022 Chace Numata Senior All-Star Game.

There are also a couple of Hawaii players who are making some noise in college ball right now, like Maui Ahuna (Hilo High School, 2020) at Tennessee and INF Nu’u Contrades (Saint Louis 2022) at Arizona State. I was never able to get either. Ahuna was on the Big Island, so that is a fair excuse. But Contrades is from my part of the island! But because I do not normally do the high school guys, I missed him.

So, to not miss any more local players before they move on to bigger and better things, I decided to swing down to a Kamehameha v. Mary Knoll game to knock out three Perfect Game Underclassmen All-Americans.

- C Aukai Kea is a Vanderbilt commit. Vanderbilt…that’s a big deal. He is hitting .294 with 2 HR on the season. He has a bunch of nice reports from places like Perfect Game, so its easy to get excited about him.
- INF Jace Souza is a Texas Tech commit. Again, a very nice school. He is having a very nice season, hitting .433.
- SP Blade Paragas is Brigham Young commit, so yet again, another good D1 school. Paragas is one of the better pitchers in Hawaii this season, and on the year has only allowed 11 hits in 21 IP, good for a 2.14 ERA. He has stuck out 16, and walked 13. I was at his last game vs. Mid-Pac when he only allowed 2 hits in 7 innings.
