- Heliot Ramos was the Giants First Round pick–19th overall–of the 2017 draft, selected out of Leadership Christian Academy, Guaynabo, P.R. He was ranked the 30th best prospect in the draft by Baseball America.
- Ramos was the MVP of the 2016 Under Armour All-America Game.
- He has plus tools across the board, with a rare mix of speed and power that makes him one of the more exciting prospects in the minors leagues.
- In 2017 he hit .348/.404/.645 with 6 HR and 10 SB for the AZL Giants. AZL numbers should be taken with a grain of salt. But he did this as one of the youngest players in minor league ball at only 17.
- At this point, he just needs to polish his tools and get minor league at-bats. He has the potential to be a special player if he develops like the Padres believe he will.
