Do you know who was a pretty good pitcher? Bret Saberhagen.

Bret Saberhagen spent 16 seasons (1984-1991) in the big leagues and had some amazing seasons. He was a two-time Cy Young Award winner and three-time All-Star. For a while, he and Charlie Leibrandt made quite the two-headed dragon atop the Royals rotation.

You do kind of have to wonder what would have happened if they would have managed his innings a little better. From 1985-1989 Saberhagen averaged 234 innings, which is probably a little bit too much.
