New Arrival: Bryce Harper, of, Philadelphia Phillies
…
I didn’t have a Bryce Harper autograph in my collection, and I thought it was time to fix that. It’s not so much that I am a huge fan, but more that at this point you cannot deny he is a generational talent and it would be weird not to have something from him in my collection. It helps that he is in his age-30 season and still an elite talent, ending the regular season with a 146 OPS+. That said, I didn’t want to just add any card and had been waiting for one of these 2015 Topps Heritage ’51 Collection cards, which I think are one of the better-looking autograph issues out there.

Just in case you are not keeping track at home, Harper’s resume is very impressive: 2012 NL Rookie of the Year, seven-time All-Star, two-time Silver Slugger, NLCS MVP, and two NL MVP awards. He joins a fantastic collection of players who are two-time MVP award winners: Carl Hubbell, Willie Mays, Ernie Banks, Johnny Bench, Joe Morgan, and Dale Murphy. That said, Harper still needs to add five more to tie Barry Bonds. Barry Bonds was very good. But at this point, I think its safe to say Harper is a Hall of Fame player, something that Barry Bonds (shockingly) cannot say. Yet.
