- George Valera was signed out of the Dominican in 2017.
- He was considered one of the best international prospects at the time.
- Because he was raised in the United States for 13 years before moving to the Dominican he was able to skip the island summer league and jump right to the Arizona League.
- In 2018 he was only able to get 18 at-bats before getting injured…but he did amazing in those 18 at-bats: .333/.409/.556 with 1 HR.
- Also…he is considered a plus outfielder.
I am thrilled that his autographs came out well on this issue. So many Leaf cards get messed up since they use such glossy stock. Not the case here.
