New Arrival: Harvey Haddix, sp, Pittsburgh Pirates

Harvey Haddix had a fantastic 14-season career in the big leagues.

From 1952-1965 Haddix went 136-113, with a 3.63 ERA/1.233 WHIP/108 ERA+. Some highlights include:

A 20-game winner with the Cardinals in 1953
Selected to three All-Star teams and won three Gold Gloves.
In 1959 he had a 12-12 record, but over 224.1 innings he would lead the league in both WHIP (1.061) and H/9 (7.6).
He would pitch brilliantly in the 1960 World Series, helping the Pirates win the Championship.
Of course, he is the only player to pitch 12 innings of perfect ball…and he lost.
