Maui Ahuna is from Hilo, but I never got him while he was in high school since I was not paying too close attention to Hawaii prep players at the time. He is one of the big reasons I have started tracking the players in the islands over the last year and getting autographs of the D1 commits and draft prospects. For such a small state, Hawaii has a lot of baseball talent.

Maui had a terrific college career at Kansas (2021-2022) and Tennessee (2023). In the 2023 draft, he was taken in the 4th round by the San Fransico Giants. His calling card is plus defense, and his bat has the potential to develop some real pop, which would be nice for a middle infield type.
