Mike Schmidt spent 18 seasons in the big leagues and would retire with 548 HR, and a career 148 OPS+. He was selected to 12 All-Star teams and won ten Gold Gloves and six Silver Sluggers. He was selected as the NL MVP three times. How many players could be considered one of the best gloves at their position while also leading the league in home runs? He ended up doing it eight times.
When Schmidt retired in 1990, he took with him a career 106.8 WAR. That WAR would place him 25th all-time. He was elected to the Hall of Fame in 1995.
