Noah Naylor was drafted in the 1st round, 29th overall, by the Cleveland Indians in the 2018 draft.
Naylor has a lot going for him. He was considered by many to be the best high school hitter available in the draft. Plus he plays a premium position–catcher–where he looks like he could stick long term. That is all good. The one mark against him is that he does not have a ton of power, though he does have some pop with more projected as he develops his game.
He opened his pro career in the AZL and is more than holding his own: .317/.413/.492 with 2 HR. He also has as many walks (11) and strikeouts (12).
