New Arrival: Pedro Ramos, sp, Washington Senators
…
Fun fact! The record for the most consecutive seasons leading the league in losses by a major league pitcher is held by two former Cleveland pitchers: Pedro Ramos and Phil Niekro. Both pitchers led the league in losses for four seasons in a row; Ramos from 1958 through 1961 while pitching in Atlanta, and Niekro from 1977 through 1980 while pitching for Washington.

Also, interestingly enough, both players earned All-Star selections during these runs. Niekro got it in 1978 when he went 19-18 with a 142 ERA+; Ramos got it in 1959 when he went 13-19 with a 95 ERA+.
