New Arrival: Ray Narleski, p, Cleveland Guardians
…
Ray Narleski had a very short career in the majors. But it was a very solid career. From 1954-1959 he was one of Cleveland’s best pen arms. In 1955 he led the league in games (60) and saves (19) while pitching 111.2 innings. While he was predominately a pen arm, he still managed to get plenty of spot starts and long relief appearances. He twice won at least 10 games or pitched more than 150 innings, though he never started more than 24 games in a season. He was a two-time All-Star (1956 and 1958).

He retired following the 1959 season with a 43-33 record, 58 saves, and a career 3.60 ERA/107 ERA+.
