Zach Plesac debuted with the Tribe in 2019 and more than held his own: over 115.2 innings he struck out 88, walked 40, and allowed 102 hits. Good for a 3.81 ERA/124 ERA+/1.228 WHIP. Good numbers. But I am a little worried about how the league will adapt to him. He is not a power pitcher and relies more on ground balls than K’s to get guys out, and young pitchers like that sometimes struggle once the league has good scouting reports on him. Still, lots of potential and he should be an excellent #4 or #5 pitcher for the Indians this season.
