- Brett Kennedy was drafted out of Fordham in the 11th round of the 2015 draft by the San Diego Padres.
- His numbers in college were solid: over three seasons in the Atlantic 10 he would go 15-17 with a 3.73 ERA over 222 IP. He would allow 236 hits, strike out 218 and walk 67.
- In the pros, he has remained a starting pitcher and has done everything asked of him. This season in AA he went 13-7 over 141 IP. He allowed 131 hits, stuck out 134 and walked 38. Those are pretty fantastic numbers for AA ball.
- Kennedy was a 2017 Texas League Post-Season All-Star.
- The Padres have a deep system, so Kennedy might not get the recognition he deserves as a player who should make it to the majors within the next season or two.
