The Cleveland Guardians squeezed past the Tampa Bay Rays and are on their way to the ALDS. This is…shocking. In no large part because the 2021 Cleveland Indians were an absolute dumpster fire, and this season looked like it was going to be more of the same.
Nothing illustrated the anemic 2021 Cleveland offense more than the fact that they were no-hit three–and really four–times during the season. Insane.
April 14th v. Chicago White Sox. Carlos Rodon went nine innings.
May 7th v. Cincinnati Reds: Wade Miley went nine innings.
July 7th v. Tampa Bay Rays. This was a 7-inning doubleheader, so it does not technically count. It was a combined no-hitter by Collin McHugh, Josh Fleming, Diego Castillo, Matt Wisler, and Pete Fairbanks.
September 11th v. Milwaukee Brewers. Combined no-hitter by Corbin Burnes and Josh Hader.
I thought it was the right thing to do to add all these cards to my Topps Now collection.
